Hate that could not recommend on Tripadvisor.com. My friend and I rented a dune buggy for street use. Simply a blast. Honked and waved to everyone from Salvo to Ocracoke. Spurred many conversations with many people. A pure adrenaline rush, even going street legal speeds. I would highly recommend doing this. Check out ferry schedule wait times, as we lost significant time waiting for the Ocracoke Ferry. They have developed a longer, more circuitous route, and were running behind. Eric gave us a guided tour of his garage after the trip, explaining his many endeavors over the years. Eric is obviously taken with all things mechanical.
